The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board (UPSOSB) is an autonomous board running under the auspices of Open Schooling of Uttar Pradesh Government’s Education Department. UPSOSB provides educational opportunities to persons like you, who wish to study further and qualify for a better tomorrow.

The mission of UPSOSB is to provide education to all with special concern to school girls and women, rural youth, working men and women who because of one or the other reason could not continue their education with the formal system.

UPSOSB operates through a network of Accredited Institutions (AIs) across the state. Admission is open to all who have completed 14 years of age. There is no upper age limit.
